Terroir

The soil consists of decomposed old volcanic rocks and brittle shales.The Cru Morgon produces wines rich, fleshy and improve with time.

Winemaking

• Hand picked at full ripeness of the grapes in late September• Semi-carbonic maceration 10-12 days (whole berries) in cement tanks before pressing• Alcoholic fermentation temperatures under control, residual sugar <1 gr. alcohol content: 13 °• Malolactic fermentation done at 100%• Aged in tank 6 to 8 months before filtration• first bottling in early spring
