Tasting

Appearance: Deep red color with purplish reflects.
Nose: Scents of black fruits (blackcurrant), as well as floral and spicy notes.
Mouth: An aromatic and generous profile. This Morgon is structured, with fine tannins, endowed with a very nice balance.

Serving

Service temperature: 15 - 16° c.
Pairing: Red meats, game or cheeses.

Aging

Aging potential: 4 to 5 years, see more in a very good cellar.

Terroir

The soil consists of decomposed old volcanic rocks and brittle shales.The Cru Morgon produces wines rich, fleshy and improve with time.

Winemaking

Manual harvest from the full maturity of the grapes in mid-September.
Semi-carbonic maceration for 10 to 12 days (whole bunches) in cement vats before pressing.
Alcoholic fermentation under temperature control.
Malolactic fermentation carried out at 100%.
Aging in vats for 6 to 8 months before filtration and bottling.
First bottling in early spring.
