Terroir

It is the largest regional appellation of Beaujolais.
Its production area covers the entire vineyard with 72 producing municipalities.
It is located mainly to the south of the vineyard between l'Arbresle and Belleville.
To the east, a few plots run along the slopes of the Beaujolais crus almost to Saint-Amour.
The Beaujolais appellation has officially existed since 1937.
Since then, it has been known to all, French and foreign alike, thanks in particular to its Beaujolais Nouveaux.
The soil is a mosaic of terroir composed of granite, clay-limestone, and blue stones.

Winemaking

Manual harvest at full maturity of the grapes at the beginning of September.
Semi-carbonic maceration 5 to 6 days (whole bunches) in cement vats before pressing.
Alcoholic fermentation under temperature control.
Alcoholic degree : 12°.
Malolactic fermentation carried out at 100%.
Aging in vats for 3 to 4 months before bottling.
